Working to the overall vision, mission and strategic objectives of the ‘Pembrokeshire Coastal & Maritime Network', the Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum will concentrate on facilitating the engagement of the wider community of interest in the long term future of the coastal zone of Pembrokeshire, through information exchange, aimed at creating high levels of awareness, understanding, and ‘ownership' of the many and varied important issues which face the coast of Pembrokeshire at this time. In short its aim will be:

“to facilitate engagement of all interests in the coastal zone”

The Forum will pursue the following objectives to achieve its aim:

•  raise awareness and understanding of coastal issues within Pembrokeshire, and contribute to wider debates on coastal management and planning
•  provide a voice for the ‘ Pembrokeshire Coast and Waterway' and promote its local, national and international importance
•  provide a forum for debate that encourages co-operation and dialogue between all the different interests and users of the Pembrokeshire Coast
•  contribute to the development of strategic issues and facilitate discussion on major proposals for development or other changes likely to affect the Pembrokeshire Coast
•  raise awareness of the Forum and its benefits to all interests in the coastal zone
•  contribute to the development of a baseline for monitoring social/economic and environmental health of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Zone
