The principal port of Pembrokeshire is that at Milford Haven. This is a Trust Port , which also includes Pembroke Port at Pembroke Dock. Together they comprise the largest Port in Wales , and the fifth largest in the UK , handling around 10,000 vessel movements and more than 34 million tonnes of cargo annually. The other principal Port is at Fihguard/Goodwick on the north Pembrokeshire coast.
Pembrokeshire is highly dependent on the Welsh trunk road system. This links St Clears, Haverfordwest and Fishguard (A40), St Clears, and Pembroke Dock (A477), Haverfordwest and Milford Haven (A4076) and Fishguard and Cardigan (A487).
The main line railway service extends only as far as Swansea . An “Alphaline” service connects Swansea with Pembrokeshire via Carmarthen .
