DESCRIPTION:It’s a bug’s life! \nCome join us for the second in our series of Pembrokeshire Marine Code environmental training events this Spring. \nAn opportunity to learn more about the Pembrokeshire coastline\, to enjoy and share with your customers. \nThis event is aimed at activity operators and tourism organisations\, providing useful and interesting information. \nAn event to: \n• Discover and learn about the hidden world of Pembrokeshire’s coastal invertebrates\n• Find out more about how you can help the different incredible species\n• Explore best practice and codes of conduct to help minimise disturbance\n• Highlighting the Marine Code App\, as a tool to identify and report wildlife sightings \nAn exciting line up of speakers has been organised for the morning\, to allow attendees to be inspired and learn about the smaller wildlife found along the Pembrokeshire coast. There will be a focus on learning more about Pembrokeshire’s\, often unique\, invertebrates. \nA morning of inspirational talks from our speakers. \nA separate afternoon event to investigate a coastal site will be arranged if Covid-19 regulations allow (this will be advertised separately).

SUMMARY:Milford Haven Fish Festival
DESCRIPTION:Milford Fish Festival\, which was organised and run by the Port of Milford Haven for the first time in 2015\, is to return again this year\, kicking off a week-long timetable of events scheduled for Pembrokeshire County Council’s Pembrokeshire Fish Week. \n2015 was a successful year for Milford Haven\, with crowd-pulling events raising the profile of the town and establishing it as ‘the events capital of Pembrokeshire’. \nThe Port of Milford Haven has today (Friday 29th January 2016) confirmed that the festival will return in 2016\, this time for two days\, on Saturday 25th June and Sunday 26th June\, marking the start of Pembrokeshire Fish Week. \nAlec Don\, Chief Executive at the Port\, said “I am delighted that Pembrokeshire County Council (PCC) has announced that it is bringing back Pembrokeshire Fish Week and excited that we are staging the Milford Fish Festival once again in what will be Milford Marina’s 25th Anniversary year.  With support from Pembrokeshire County Council we are also able to extend the festival to a two day event\, making it bigger and better than ever. \n“As last year\, we will be looking to the business community to support us through sponsorship and to stall holders and entertainers for their attendance on the day to make this year’s event one to remember.” \nFurther details of how you can get involved can be found here.

DESCRIPTION:Keep Wales Tidy are searching for volunteers across Wales to help get our beaches and coastline looking spick and span in the run up to the summer months with a dedicated week of coastal action this spring. \nThe fourth annual Clean Coast Week\, sponsored by McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd\, takes place from 23 April –1 May 2016. Keep Wales Tidy\, along with McDonald’s restaurant staff\, community groups\, schools and businesses will take part in clean-up events across the country as part of the week of action. \nClean Coast Week 2016 follows the success of previous campaigns\, also sponsored by McDonald’s\, when over 325 registered events took place across the Welsh coast\, with nearly 8\,000 people getting involved in collecting more than 6\,700 bags of rubbish. \nOn the 8th April\, head to Poppit to get involved.

SUMMARY:Wildlife Sightings Event and Photography Competition 2016
DESCRIPTION:Pembrokeshire Wildlife Sightings Event’ photographic competition is now open to the public. Winners of the competition will be announced at the event held on the evening of 3rd February 2016\,  6.30pm-10.00pm at the Merlin Theatre\, Haverfordwest. \nThe event inspires local naturalists and photographers to share stories and images celebrating the diverse and special wildlife of Pembrokeshire both on land and under water. This year promises to be an exciting event with:- \n\nAnnie Haycock providing an insight into the Bats of Pembrokeshire\nMatthew Tebbutt tempting us with his talk about the Gwaun Valley\nBob Haycock delighting us with choughs caught on camera\nJulian Cremona will get us to consider marine insects\nDavid Jones and Dave Kennard will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Neptune’s Army Rubbish Cleaners.\n\nClick here to book your tickets via Eventbrite  or call Jodie McGregor on 01646 405694.
