Welsh waters have enormous potential when it comes to generating clean, renewable energy, and in Pembrokeshire we’re already seeing exciting developments in the sector – plans for floating wind farms in the Celtic Sea are well underway…and the Port of Milford Haven is moving towards freeport status; a powerful tool to boost the local economy.

Ensuring our communities are informed of and able to take advantage of the many opportunities the marine renewable energy industry presents will be vital to its success here in Pembrokeshire. 

But we must also acknowledge the risks – will these projects overcome the hurdles they must face and go ahead as planned? Will the benefits and rewards be seen by our local communities? Will there be any other unwanted impacts?
