Welcome to the Pembrokeshire ‘Living Coast’ Photo Competition! As part of our annual celebration of wildlife and coastal living, we invite photographers of all ages and skill levels to capture the beauty and diversity of Pembrokeshire’s coast.

Photo Competition

The Pembrokeshire Living Coast Schools & Children’s Photo Competition is your chance to showcase your creativity and love for our stunning coast! Open to students and children of any age, the competition invites you to capture what makes our coastal environment special, whether it’s breathtaking landscapes, unique wildlife, or the people who care for it.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Capture Your Photo: Take a photograph that fits one of the categories above. Make sure it showcases the unique charm of Pembrokeshire’s coast.

2. Submit Your Entry: Upload your photo to our competition portal below. You can submit up to three entries per category.

3. Voting and Judging: Once the submission window closes, all photos will be open for public voting. A panel of judges will also review the entries.

  • Voting for the People’s Choice Award will open at midday, Monday 16th February closing at midnight, Monday 23rd February 2026.
  • You must be under 14 to enter the children’s competition and photographers may be assisted by parent/guardians of child entering the competition.
  • Images must be of wildlife (flora or fauna), or for the ‘Coastal Life’ category, images that capture work or leisure around the Pembrokeshire Coast that align with PCF’s vision ‘to secure sustainable coasts and oceans for future generations’
  • Images must have been taken in Pembrokeshire in 2025-26.
  • There is an entry submission limit: up to three images per category, per entrant.

Your decision to enter Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum’s Photography Competition 2025 denotes your acceptance and adherence to these rules.

  1. Closing Date for entries is midnight on Sunday 15th February 2026.
  2. Voting for the People’s Choice Award will open at midday, Monday 16th February, closing at midnight, Monday 23rd February 2026. 
  3. You must be under 14 to enter the children’s competition and photographers may be assisted by parent/guardians of child entering the competition.
  4. Images must be of wildlife (flora or fauna), or for the ‘Coastal Life’ category, images that capture work or leisure around the Pembrokeshire Coast that align with PCF’s vision ‘to secure sustainable coasts and oceans for future generations’
  5. Images must have been taken in Pembrokeshire in 2025-26.
  6. There is an entry submission limit: up to three images per category, per entrant.
  7. Images must not include pets, animals kept in zoos or on farms. If you include people in your photograph, you must have their permission before submission.
  8. A judging panel will decide on the winner(s) of 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed entries. All decisions by the judges will be final and binding.
  9. There is no cash alternative to any prizes offered.
  10. Images must have been taken by the entrant, and not have won a national or international competition or have been published before.
  11. Photographs that have been materially altered in digital processing may be disqualified solely at the judges’ discretion.
  12. The photographer must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of photos entered into the competition.
  13. By entering the competition, photographers agree that their images may be used by Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum for promotion and publicity of current and future projects.
  14. Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum will respect copyright of all images entered into the competition and will not pass the images on to any third party without permission.
  15. All images submitted to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum competition & galleries are subject to review. Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum reserve the right to reject inappropriate images or images that are not within the current theme / time frame without notification. Photos must respect the Marine Code of conduct.
  16. The winner(s) must acknowledge their win within 7 days of being notified or the prize may be re-allocated to the next-placed winner.
  17. This competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom & Ireland except employees of Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum and related projects.
