Consultation – Bathing water review in Wales 2017

The Bathing Water Directive requires member states to identify all bathing waters each year where large numbers of bathers are expected during the bathing season (15 May to 30 September). Once designated the bathing water will be subject to regular testing by Natural Resources Wales during the bathing season and given a water quality classification. The classifications help bathers make informed decisions about where they bathe.

Welsh Government are consulting on their proposal to designate Glandon beach as a bathing water in Wales under the Bathing Water Directive (2006/7/EC) for the 2017 season.
