Dear All

Thank you for your responses to the consultation and the Strategic Environmental Assessment. These views will be essential to shape and develop the statutory River Basin Management Plans and the actions planned for improvements between 2015 and 2021.  As the plan evolves, we will consider any implications this might have for effects on the environment as part of our strategic environmental assessment requirements. The plans will be published in December 2015. This will be accompanied by a Statement of Environmental Particulars.

 We received more than a 100 responses from a wide range of groups and organisations, many had also responded to Challenges & Choices. It was encouraging to receive responses from new groups.

 What happens next?

 The consultation closed on 10 April 2015. Natural Resources Wales will review the feedback and publish a response document for the Dee and Western Wales River Basin Districts.  The document will provide information on the comments and what will happen next.  The document will be published on 10 July 2015 on our website.
