Welsh Government Consultation – Microbeads

Welsh Government are looking for your views on how to implement and enforce the ban on microbeads in Wales.

Following the agreement of UK Ministers to ban products containing plastic microbeads designed to be washed down the drain, Welsh Government are consulting on proposals to:

  • ban their manufacture and sale from June 2018
  • make their manufacture, supply or sale a punishable offence

This consultation closes on 8th January 2018.
