Pembrokeshire will be celebrating EU Sustainable Energy Week this month.

The Week – June 15th to June 19th – aims to encourage and showcase  sustainable energy projects across the European Union.

To mark the week, Pembrokeshire County Council and partners have organised a series of events highlighting the diversity of energy developments in the county.

All the events are open to the public and most are free but they do need to be booked in advance.

Wednesday 17th June 10am-12 midday Milford Leisure Centre Combined Heat and Power Plant Milford Haven Leisure Centre 

Visitors can view processing of locally sourced round timber into G30/G50 chipped into the store; demonstration of chip boiler ETA Hack 90kw with district heating system; wood pellet handling, distribution and specialist transport vehicles; exhibition trailer with videos and stove boiler demonstration; product demonstration of compressed logs, pellets in bags and chips; information on RHI for domestic and non-domestic installations; ETA boiler supply and installation, finance and ESCo options (Energy Supply Company – where PBESCO install the boiler and customer just pays for the heat used); Biomass Suppliers List and sustainability of fuel supply; ENplus A1 quality accreditation; and how to ensure trouble free fuel by ensuring that stores and pellet feed systems meet the UK Pellet Council’s Storage Guidelines.
